The purpose of this book is to open the eyes
of the thousands of Jews who are led astray and
attempt to seek help through foreign faiths.
We have reflected on this great spiritual mis-fortune and have put this question to ourselves: If
religion can cure men of sickness, why must it be
through non-Jewish Faiths? If prayers for healing
have a great effect, why must they be non-Jewish
prayers? Do we not read in the Bible and in the
Talmud that prayer drove away sickness? We
find that Abraham prayed for Abimelech and
Abimelech was healed; Moses prayed for his
sister Miriam and she was healed; the prophet
Isaiah prayed for King Hezekiah and he was
healed. We find also that Rabbi Hanina ben Dosa
and many others cured men through prayer.
